Day 30: Short Story Marathon

Summary

Finished up “Death by Apathy” and sent it off. That makes 24 stories out the door in 30 days! Aleia really liked this one, but I didn’t think much of it yesterday. A little time away, another pass through, and one small flourish at the end, and I like it now. It’s a nice addition to the series.

Started a new story, “Face of Clay” (tentative title), #25. It’s 5,100 words long. I had a flash of an odd image last night and ran with it. It’s more than I bargained for today, in terms of length, but  it’s done. It’s interesting and turned out differently than I expected. Read it to Aleia and off tomorrow.

I wanted to do a month roundup on this challenge so far, but no time tonight. Only five more stories, so that finish line is getting close.

Stats for Today

Strategies Employed:  Massage (Aleia gave me one last night and I am in a much better mood today)

Lessons Learned: Follow the story, see what happens. At the worst, it’s practice.

Words Written: 5,200

Hours: 4.9

Stories Sent to Dean: 1
