Greetings Readers! Wow this month has flown by! It started with Robert being at a writer’s conference in Las Vegas. He’s going talk more about that, but I must say how proud I am of his accomplishments there. His stories were well received, and he gained so much insight as to what editors look for before they buy a story for professional publication. He returned from the Vegas experience with a lot of new insights and a horrible upper respiratory virus that lingered long.
Meanwhile, I was holding down the fort with Olivia. She is growing and changing fast; she needs A LOT of exercise and we spent many hours walking in the forests while Robert was at the conference. I discovered that working (even part time), puppy care, and house-holding can be pretty overwhelming without Robert around. I fell to a virus just as he was getting better. We’re both better now, but we’re a little behind in keeping up Camp Activities! Here’s the update:
- The first Campfire Tale, “The Pearce Shoot Out” is getting great feedback with potential publishers, so it’s taking a little longer than we thought to get it into print. We’re hoping for news soon about this story. Please stand by.
- The second Campfire Tale, “The Mystery at Molas Pass,” is now written! The protagonist is a superhero man whose power is that he can become a very strong little boy. This Tale is set in the Neutrinoman and Lightningirl universe; an action/adventure with a mysterious twist. And yes, the word, “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” was used in this story!
- We’ve collected some great campfire cues for the genre mash up (third) Campfire Tale. We are extending the survey to collect a few more cues before Robert will begin to write this one. The Survey Monkeywill be open until April 9th.
