I don’t know if you noticed, but this last week or so the sweet holiday movies started hitting our lists of things to stream. And while late October may seem a little early, that doesn’t feel as true in 2020 as it has some other years. I don’t know about you, but I could use a break from the pandemic, and the election here in the US, and the storms and fires, and the endless news. A story with winter cheer and a happy ending seems like a really good idea right about now.
Along those lines I’ve got a few items for you:
- Joyous Christmas is out and available as a single book. This was part of an innovated story-a-day program last year called The WMG Holiday Spectacular. Joyous Christmas has my story from that program, “A Grave Kind of Love,” in it (which I blogged about last year). That’s a story in the Shuffled Off world (and graveyard) so it’s a pretty good fit for this time of year too.
- The WMG Holiday Spectacular 2020 is up on Kickstarter. I don’t have a story in this one but I know a lot of these writers and they are fantastic. Getting a story a day in your inbox might be a nice balm for this very strange year.
Hop you all are staying safe and staying sane out there!
Robert
