Woody and June versus Winslow

It is, once again, Woody and June Wednesday and, it’s time for Episode 10, Woody and June versus Winslow!

I have to confess, I was chuckling to myself quite often while I wrote this one. It takes place in Winslow, Arizona at the iconic “Standin’ on a Corner” spot made famous by the Eagle’s 1972 hit “Take it Easy” and pictured on the cover.

Woody, June, and Dallas are certainly not “taking it easy” and while I won’t spoil it for you, that song has a place in this story, and you will never think about quite the same.

(Yes, that chuckling was the sound of a writer putting his characters through hell and enjoying it!)

For just a bit about the story, here’s the blurb for Woody and June versus Winslow:

Isn’t Winslow the Place to “Take it Easy”?

Woody Beckman and June Medina defied the odds and found each other in post-zombie-apocalypse Arizona. No longer go-it-alone survivors, they now face the future together with something to lose. Each other.

With Dallas kidnapped and Talia’s twisted “game” moving into high gear, can Woody and June do the impossible and save Dallas, survive Winslow, and escape Talia’s insidious trap?

Can Woody and June beat the odds and let their love flourish in a world of zombies and psychotic, petty, wannabe warlords?

A story of adventure and love and taking things (even the apocalypse) in stride.
