Action, adventure, and romance set in post-apocalyptic Arizona in and around the Grand Canyon… with zombies! That’s Woody and June versus the Apocalypse in a sentence. This series is a blast to write and, from what readers tell me, a blast to read too.
Really, the apocalypse shouldn’t be this much fun.
And that’s what’s different about Woody and June. Sure, things are tough, survival in the desert Southwest is hard, there’s danger everywhere, and some really bad people, but Woody and June (and Dallas) keep their humanity and their senses of humor intact.
In this series I take on the post-apocalyptic themes and tropes, which are fascinating, but apply a lighter hand. There’s peril and action, tons of it, but it doesn’t get so gruesome that you would want to shut your eyes if you were watching a TV show (well… most of the time). The main characters are flawed, very human, but also very likeable.
Now Volume 3 is ready to go and I am launching it, just like Volume 2, on Kickstarter. If you back the campaign, you will be reading all the episodes months before everyone else (the five episodes that make up Volume 3 will be coming out one a month starting in December).
