I’ve been spending a lot of time in Carterville lately getting two new books ready for this year!
The first, Faces of Carterville, is out today!
This book is a little different than the other Carterville books.
First off, is it doesn’t take place in Carterville! Note the subtitle is “A Henry Carter Mystery” not “A Carterville Mystery.” If you read The Blood of Carterville then you’ll have a good idea as to why.
Secondly, it’s fairly short, a novella not a novel, about one hundred pages long.
And lastly, and most significantly, it is full of explicit spoilers for the other books. It’s just the nature of where the story is and there was no avoiding it.
If you haven’t read any Carterville books, this is not the best one to start with, but if you’d like to give the series a try, I am giving away some ebooks of Out of a Christmas Sky. You can enter for a chance to win until July 31, 2024.
Also, Faces of Carterville is 50% off ($1.99 in the US) until the end of July so go grab it now.
Coming later this year is the next full-length Carterville novel, Return to Carterville (see the cover below).
It’s been so much fun being back in the world of Carterville, I hope you’ll join me.
Here’s the full blurb for Faces of Carterville:
After the events of The Blood of Carterville, Henry Carter can’t return to the town that bears his name, but that doesn’t mean mysteries don’t still find him.
When he travels to Pagosa, Springs Colorado to investigate a haunting, he’ll find more than he expects. In that sleepy mountain town, he’ll have to confront his past in unexpected and surprising ways and maybe, just maybe, gain a clue or two on how to do the impossible, return to Carterville.
From Robert J. McCarter, long-time Arizona resident and the author of The Blood of Carterville, comes a mystery you will never forget.
