Things happened in 2024, including a death in the family, health issues that needed to be tended to, and a very busy day-job. Because of all this, 2024 wasn’t the story year I had planned for, which is, honestly, not surprising. Plans are guesses and my plans got me much further than I would have gotten otherwise.
So, here are the stories of mine, short and long, that came out in 2024. You can see all the previous years here .
January

We started out the year with Woody and June versus the Pod! Always nice to start a year with Woody and June. This is the first episode in Volume 3 and starts us rocketing towards the exciting conclusion of this saga. Read more.
February

Woody and June versus the Impossible Choice
Even more Woody and June with Episode 14 where Woody has to make a truly impossible choice as Volume 3 gains momentum. Read more.
March

It was great to return to the pages of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine with “A Nice Short Conversation.” This is an original story about an alien encounter with a human, told from the alien’s point of view. Read More.

Woody and June versus the Reunion
There’s no putting this story down now with Episode 15. Our heroes are entering enemy territory on their way to a climatic confrontation! Read more.
April

Woody and June versus the Standoff
Even more Woody and June (and Dallas too) in an epic standoff at Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Read More.
May

This is it. This is the moment where all three volumes and seventeen episodes lead to, where the promise of Woody and June really pays off. I love this series so much and this episode is everything why. Read more.
June

Woody and June versus the Apocalypse, Volume 3
And now all five episodes of Volume 3 are together at a great price. I am so happy where this series ended up. Read more.
July
“Harry the Ghost Pirate” was reprinted in An Afterlife of Really Creepy Stories: Stories from Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. This is the third appearance of this sweet ghost story in the world of Shuffled Off: A Ghost’s Memoir. Always fun when a story has multiple appearances.
“A Nice Short Conversation” quickly made it’s second appearance in The Alien Who Ate My Homework and Burped: Stories from Pulphouse Fiction Magazine.

We are, very happily, back to Carterville with Faces of Carterville, the fourth book in the series. Read more.
September

I love this story collection, mostly becuase I love time travel stories. They are fun to read and, I have found, and a blast to write! Read more.
Okay, that’s it for 2024 and the stories of mine that came out. Things didn’t go as planned, but it turned out pretty good, all things considered. I’ll take it.
Onward to 2025!
