The Ghost Bride's Gift

For Walter Anchor, being murdered wasn’t the worst thing that happened to him. He’s trying to solve his own murder so he can “move on” but he’s run out of leads and run out of hope.

When his best ghost-friend Emily finds a dead bride alone in a hotel without a scratch on her, she thinks it’ll be the perfect case to pull Walter out of his funk. But the ghost bride has no idea how she died and she looks just like Walter’s ex-wife. Seeing her makes Walter come face-to-face with a past he didn’t want to confront.

Can Walter reconcile with his past in time to solve the murder, save the ghost bride from the ghostly hell known as the bardo, and receive the gift of the ghost bride?

Using technology developed at the University of Arizona, Walter communicates from beyond the veil to tell his mind-bending story of life beyond death in his own words.

Detecting Haley

"The Ghost Bride's Gift" is Walter's second case. Don't worry, his stories can be read out of order. His first case, "Detecting Haley" is part of my short story collection Life After: Stories of Life, Death, and the Places In Between if you care to check it out.

There is a third Walter Anchor story nearing completion and more coming in the future.
